Join us for a 30-day journey of 24/7 prayer in partnership with the Ark Identity community. This is how we get things done. Already, miracles and transformations are taking place. We are joining churches from Kenya to the East Coast and beyond.
Here is a message from Travis, the President of the Ark Identity and Cross Culture Partner.
24/7 Prayer Tent
In 2015, I was first ordained at a small church planted in a scandalous neighborhood downtown Las Vegas called Naked City. It got the name Naked City because it was the “cool” place to live back in the 60s when showgirls would sunbathe nude from the rooftops of the apartment buildings. But Naked City soon became known for drugs and prostitution into the 80s as crack was introduced. It was one of the worst neighborhoods in Las Vegas with over 200 monthly calls to the metro police department.
This church was different from what you may be thinking of what a church looks like. The sanctuary where we gathered was the old courtyard of a run down apartment. The two trees in the courtyard created this natural canopy of shade. Those trees also produced the worst pollen that has ever touched your skin but that is another story for another time. But, this courtyard is where I learned to flow in the gifts of the Spirit, evangelism and the ministry of intercession.
In the final year of this church's existence, Holy Spirit began to speak to me about a 24 hour prayer tent in the courtyard. The more I prayed into this crazy idea I could not deny that this is something God wanted us to do. So we built a tent right there in the corner of the courtyard, setup an online sign up form and we committed to praying for 40 days straight.
In my mind, I knew this was a crazy idea. How could this little urban church complete such a task? The only way we were going to fill that tent 24/7 for 40 days was with the help of Holy Spirit. This was God's tent and it was His initiative to fill it. And he did. We had all kinds of people sign up. From pastors and leaders to new believers who were praying for the first time.
People would often ask me, “How do you pray for an hour? Don't you run out of things to say?” I would tell them, “Prayer is more listening than doing all the talking. Spending time in the tent should be more about meeting with God than filling a certain amount of time with the sound of our voices.” And hour later they would come out of the tent saying “I can't believe that hour went by so fast. God met with me in such a real way.”
Here we are in 2025, and Jesus is inviting us to join Him in the intercession He offers day and night as our High Priest. I feel the urgency to set up prayer tents, prayer rooms, prayer calls and anywhere else people will pray. So what would 24/7 prayer look like for us? A network of individuals positioned around the country who are called to pray around the clock?
Starting April 1st at 12am central time we are kicking off a 24/7 prayer line called “In The Gap”. This prayer line will be hosted on Google Meet and will be open 24 hrs a day. In fact, if you are on the ARK network right now you will see a new space called In The Gap under community. There is a virtual prayer wall for requests, scripture, prophetic words etc. As we are led by Holy Spirit to sign up we can reserve 1 hr shifts. If you sign up for more than one hour that’s ok too. You can spontaneously join the prayer line at any time as well.

Why In The Gap?
To intercede means to stand in the gap between. Between what? Heaven and earth. God and man.
entugchanó
Pronunciation: en-toong-khan'-o
Definition: To intercede, to make petition, to appeal
Meaning: (a) I meet, encounter, hence: (b) I call (upon), make a petition, make suit, supplication.
Word Origin: "en" (in) and a derivative of "tugchanó" (to hit the mark, to meet)
Remember Back to the future. I don’t care how old you are, you better have seen Back to the future. Remember when Marty was trying to get back to the future and the giant electric wire hanging from the clock tower. Doc Brown had to climb the clock tower to stand in the gap between the two wires. He held the connection together so the power could flow and the mission could be accomplished.
Those priests were many because they were prevented by death from remaining in office, but he, because he remains forever, has a priesthood that does not pass away. Therefore, he is always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them. - Hebrews 7:23-25
Intercession is the ministry of Jesus. Under the Old Covenant Israel needed priests in human form to intercede between the people and God. But those priests had to be replaced over and over again as each man dies. But now Jesus is the eternal priest who lives to make intercession for man kind forever. And we, as the body of Jesus, get to make intercession with Him.
As a member in the body of Christ, we are inviting you to join the call of intercession with Jesus, the Head.
